Where do you ship to?
We currently only ship to states within the continental USA (excluding Alaska and Hawaii).
We are happy to accept international orders offline - please see our FAQ for more information if you are a customer outside of the USA and wish to purchase any of our items. Note: We do not offer shipping to APO/FPO addresses or PO Boxes. ----------------------------------------What are your shipping costs?
The shipping cost is automatically added at the checkout, based on the type of shipping required and the value and weight of your order. All orders over $99 (After discounts and excluding Gift Vouchers) qualify for Free Ground Shipping. We can't offer free 2nd Day / Overnight shipping due to the cost, especially for heavier orders.
We use FedEx as our preferred carrier, and charge a rate based on the total weight of your order (please see the chart below).
When estimating ground shipping times, please bear in mind that all CAMBOR® items ship from our east-coast warehouse (ZIP 30656), and all other items ship from the west-coast (ZIP 89115).
FedEx Ground: $5 + $1.00/lb
FedEx 2nd Day: $15 + $2.50/lb
FedEx Overnight $40 + $5/lb
For example, on a 10lb order we would charge: $15 Ground, $40 2nd Day and $90 Overnight.
Note:
Gift Vouchers are stored in your personal account and incur no delivery charge.
Shipping costs are deemed a taxable service by New York State, so are included in the tax calculation (if you require delivery within New York).
If you are ordering on a Friday, we recommend 2nd Day if you need rush delivery, since orders do not leave our warehouse until the following Monday (no Saturday deliveries).
----------------------------------------How long will my order take to arrive?
Please allow 24-48 hours (excluding weekends) order processing time, in addition to the following shipping estimates:
Ground: 2-6 Business days
2nd Day: 1-3 Business days
Overnight: 1-2 Business days
Please treat these figures as indicative only, as shipping times cannot be guaranteed. If you absolutely must have delivery by a certain date, please E-mail us first to verify both stock availability and that we are realistically able to meet your requirement.
We recommend that if you need 2nd day or overnight delivery, that orders are placed before midday EST Mon-Fri.----------------------------------------What is your return/exchange policy?
We strive to achieve 100% satisfaction, although we understand that sometimes things don't always go to plan and you will need to return your order to us.
The first step is to contact us, preferably via E-mail, here: returns@thechesszone.com, quoting your order number, a brief explanation of the reason for return and your contact details.
We will reply as soon as possible, providing instructions on how to complete your return/exchange.
Please note:
We can only accept returns/exchanges within 30 days of delivery.
We cannot pay return shipping costs and are not liable for items lost in transit (insuring all returns is the responsibility of the customer).
Items that are received in a damaged condition due to improper packaging or general mistreatment will not be accepted (we recommend re-using the original packaging).
Items that have been altered or modified in any way from their original form will not be accepted.
We cannot ship exchange items until we receive the original back in suitable condition, so please do not ask us to cross-ship.
We are happy to provide exchanges due to superficial or cosmetic reasons, but please note that in such cases, additional shipping charges will be necessary.
Refunds:
The original shipping costs cannot be refunded. In cases where free shipping was provided, our actual original shipping costs will be deducted from the total refund amount.
Restocking fees:
For returns of non-defective merchandise for refund, a handling and restocking fee may be applied.
For all chess items in the CAMBOR® range, a mandatory 15% restocking fee will be imposed. This rate is set by CAMBOR® itself, and must reluctantly be passed on to our customers in all cases.
All other items will incur a discretionary restocking fee of 10%, although this is generally only enforced on heavier and/or large items.
Note: If you wish to return an item for credit, any restocking fees due will be waived. |
